Ty Eschenbaum Foundation to Host The Summer Classic Golf & Fishing Tournament
Event to benefit Make-A-Wish, cancer survivor scholarships, and missionary work.
ARLINGTON, S.D. – The Ty Eschenbaum Foundation is pleased to announce that they will host The Summer Classic at Lake Region Golf Club and Lake Poinsett on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7, 2025. The public are invited to attend and register for their individual golf and fishing teams by visiting https://www.tyefoundation.org/the-summer-classic.
This event, which consists of a four-person scramble golf tournament, the launch of the inaugural women’s golf tournament and an angler walleye fishing tournament, is a fundraiser for the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation’s three heartfelt causes: Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana, youth cancer survivor scholarships, and funding of missionary work. In 2024, The Summer Classic had more than 30 golf teams, 60 fishing teams, and raised more than $30,000.
“The Summer Classic is the ultimate way to launch into summer,” said Ty Eschenbaum, founder of the Ty Eschenbaum Foundation. “It’s an unforgettable event that not only brings people together for a great time, but also creates a lasting financial impact for our three beneficiaries. Being part of this event is a meaningful way to have fun while making a difference!”

The Ty Eschenbaum Foundation, established in 2011, is dedicated to supporting several impactful causes. It offers scholarships to youth cancer survivors, helping them pursue their educational goals despite the challenges they’ve faced. The foundation also grants wishes through Make-A-Wish SD & MT, providing life-enriching experiences to children with serious illnesses. Additionally, it supports South Dakotans involved in global missionary work, helping them spread God’s word worldwide. The foundation’s work is a testament to the resilience and generosity of its founder, who, after overcoming personal hardships and losses, is committed to providing hope to those who need it most.
